Booking & Cancellation Policy

How Booking Works

You send a free Booking Request and add card details. RoomPair places a temporary authorisation for the €199 fee. Your Host has 24 hours to accept or decline. If they accept, the fee is captured and your booking is confirmed.

The €199 RoomPair Fee

• Renters pay a single RoomPair fee of €199, only once a Host accepts.
• Hosts pay €0 to RoomPair and 0% commission on rent.
• The RoomPair fee is separate from rent and any deposit.

Before Your Host Accepts

Sending a request is free. Your card may show a temporary authorisation, but nothing is captured unless your Host accepts.

After Your Host Accepts

The €199 fee is captured and your booking is confirmed. The address, contact details and move-in information are then shared between you and your Host.

If Your Host Declines

RoomPair fee: €0. The authorisation is released.

If Your Host Does Not Respond

If there is no reply within 24 hours the request expires. RoomPair fee: €0.

If You Cancel Before Acceptance

You can withdraw your request at any time before acceptance. RoomPair fee: €0.

If You Cancel After Confirmation

Once RoomPair has fully provided its booking service, the fee is generally non-refundable, subject to your statutory rights and the exceptions below. Rent and deposit arrangements are between you and your Host.

If Your Host Cancels

If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, the RoomPair fee may be refunded. We may also help you find another room, but can't guarantee replacement accommodation.

Problems With a Room

If a room is materially different from its listing, or there is fraud or material misrepresentation, contact us promptly. After review, the RoomPair fee may be refunded.

Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed by our team. Email support@roompair.ie or open a support request from your account.

Extensions

Extending the same continuous stay with the same Host in the same room does not attract another €199 fee. A new booking, room or Host may.

Rent & Deposit

Your Host receives rent and any deposit directly from you. RoomPair does not collect rent and does not hold deposits.
