The small print, in plain English
The €199 fee covers the booking itself — matching, verification review, secure messaging and support. Rent and deposit are agreed and paid directly between renter and host; RoomPair never handles them.
When you request a booking we place a hold on your card for the fee. If the host declines, does not respond within 24 hours, or you cancel first, the hold is released and you are charged nothing. If a host accepts and later withdraws before you move in, your fee is refundable under our cancellation rules, reviewed by our team.
The fee amount is set in platform settings and shown to you before you pay. You will never be charged an amount you have not seen and confirmed. Bookings run for a minimum of 28 nights.
